Phone is a Pixel 7
Using Google Chrome to web install.
Web installer works great until I get to the flashing section. It flashes until I get to the fastbootd page and does not continue; it is stuck on "restarting..."
I have tried having only one tab open, I have acquired and tried the installation with an Anker 60W Max Fast Charging USB-C to USB-C on my HP Envy laptop. If I need a specific cable or to look for one that is different from this, I would highly appreciate a specific cable name and link. All this troubleshooting has netted me the same result.
I have also tried rebooting to bootloader on the fastbootd screen to see if it would continue the installation. I was met with the following error message:
"Error: Bootloader replied with FAIL: Invalid command update-super:super:wipe"

I have tried 3 USB-A to USB-C cables and 1 recommended Anker USB-C to USB-C. I have two USB-C ports on my laptop. I have installed Graphene successfully in the past using a USB-A to USB-C, but I do not have that particular cable/setup with me at the moment.

At this point, I will be reinstalling Android 14 and will bide my time.
Any tips on the issue mentioned above is much appreciated.

Hoker430 It sounds like the OS you are installing from is missing the fastboot driver. Which OS are you installing from?

fid02 Windows 11, Fastboot is version 35.0.1 and adb is the same + Debug bridge version is 1.0.41

Hoker430 Edit: I didn't see your edit. Please try this regardless:
On Windows, it might be necessary to hammer on the "Check for updates" button several times. Follow these steps:

        1. When the phone is booted into the bootloader interface and connected to the computer, go to Windows Updates
        2. Click on the "Check for updates" button. Wait till it finishes checking for updates.
        3. Repeat step no. 2 several times.
        4. Check for the drivers under Optional updates and install them.

The driver names will include "Android", perhaps also "Lemobile".

fid02 I will try this tonight. Like I mentioned, I plan on converting back to Android for the moment for calls and such. Are there any other options if this does not work?

Thanks for the input so far! :)

I assume you mean stock PixelOS (the OS that came with your phone) as GrapheneOS is also based on Android. :-)

Hoker430 Are there any other options if this does not work?

Other users might be able to chime in if following the steps I provided did not help.

In case it helps, I kept getting this error too, updated everything and followed all the steps meticulously. Even used recommended USB C to C cable that came with the pixel, tried different browsers, everything. As a last ditch I tried a high quality (3.0 or better) USB A to C cable and it worked immediately

Alrighty folks, I finally solved the issue. I went back to Walmart and traded the USB C-C cord for a USB A-C and updated the drivers @fid02 talked about. If I had to guess, the drivers were probably the most likely change that caused the download to continue rather than get stuck at the fastbootd screen. Although, I am definitely keeping this belkin BoostCharge cord in a safe place for as long as possible.

            Thanks @oncosphere & @fid02

Hoker430 If there was an Android bootloader driver available in Windows Updates, it had likely not been installed previously.

              Glad it worked out! 👍
