Auto generated bluetooth pair code

New phone, pixel 7 build 2024062700, trying to connect wireless to motorcycle android auto unit through Bluetooth, wired connection works but defeats the purpose. When I turn the auto unit on it gives a code of "0000" but when I connect on graphene it pulls a random six digit code that I can't change. Fails to connect every time with mismatching pair codes. It says it paired bluetooth during wired connection but fails once unplugged. How do I change graphene bluetooth pair code?

BigPurp Try pairing while unplugged? Try initiating the pairing from one device, and if that doesn't work, try from the other device?

When one end of the BT connection is a headless wireless connector, there's no way to initiate or control pairing from that end.

Is there a magic screen-press or obscure menu path to override the GrapheneOS generated PIN? My device has a hard coded PIN and no means of controlling it to change that. (My car is is USB only, this adapter is to defeat that decision by the mfr.)
