x_arrange I tried Chipolo too for over a week trying to get it to work on GOS - it doesn't. Like I said earlier, uTag was the only one that worked for me, after reading the above mentioned guides & a bit of luck I got it going.
After downloading & installing uTag, I granted it all permissions, restarted it, let it fail patching, close uTag & SmartThings, grant all permissions for SmartThings & clear cache & storage. Then, temporarily turn off Secure app Spawning & enable Exploit protection compatibility mode for both apps. Restart uTag. It might fail once or twice (for me it was once only), but stick with it - it will work.
I found the hardest thing was the first pairing - it took about 20 mins of retries, but once the first tracker was paired the rest paired almost straight away.
I re-enabled Secure app spawning afterwards, but still have compatibility mode on - I might try disabling it but as they say - if it ain't broken.....
It's a kafuffle, but it's worth it.
