de0u Is that true whether or not it is connected to USB?
Yes, it is currently plugged in to charge.
de0u What if, when you have it paused, you press and hold the power button for a long time (more than a minute)?
I just tried this, I thought for a moment it had turned it off, but then the "Your device is loading a different operating system" screen comes back on. I tried both where I stopped holding the power button when it came on and where i continued to hold it but it just leads back to the GrapheneOS loading screen.
de0u If the device completely won't power off, maybe it's broken (e.g., perhaps one of the buttons has failed). Getting it to turn off seems like a good initial goal.
I can say with most confidence it's not broken because I can use the power button to restart this loop I've described, as well as on the "Your device is loading a different operating system" screen I can use the power button to pause it and resume it. I'm fairly confident this is a software issue and not a hardware one with the device. At this point the only way for it to turn off, I think, is for the battery to die again which is what prompted this problem originally.
Do you have any more ideas as to what I could do?
I am worried I will have to try reinstall GrapheneOS (If I can figure out how to with it like this) or something. Before that, I guess I will just wait awhile to see if time solves anything.
Thank you for your input!
