Anyone entered duress password yet?

MetropleX end result of using the duress pin is effectively the same as doing a Factory Reset but more robust and protected from interruption.

Maybe my impartation but can I conclude out of this that it has more benefits to use duress pin when wanting to factory reset the device that to just factory reset I'm settings? What does more robust means in this particular action?

Starch you can but it is unnecessary if you're in possession of the device and are intentionally wiping it follow the standard factory reset it's the most straight forward and controlled way of doing it.

Robust means:

The wipe does not require a reboot and cannot be interrupted.

Quickly wiping all hardware keystore keys including keys used as part of deriving the key encryption keys for disk encryption to make all OS data unrecoverable followed by wiping eSIMs and then shutting down.

I don't have the Duress PIN set up, but out of curiosity, if I was to set up the duress PIN in a brand new user profile and enter it, would it wipe the entire phone? I assume it would, since if it was in the owner profile it wipes the whole phone - profiles and all

You can't set up duress pin in a user profile. The only way to sett up duress is in owner profile and it works in the entire phone all users inc guests profiles and the home phone gets a factory reset

Ohhh OK. Yeah I didn't even know that. :) Haven't set it up or really even looked into it too much, other than reading what was on the GOS website. When I upgrade my P6a (probably in a year or so), my P6a will become my 'testing device' probably so maybe I'll play around with the Duress PIN then.
