As I understand it, if you disable fingerprint unlock it removes the fingerprint record from the device. Is there a way to just switch it to require the password to unlock (say while traveling) so you can later just flip fingerprint unlock back on again without having to rescan your fingerprint?
Possible to toggle retain the fingerprint for later re-enabling?
Speeduser7533 hmm, I don't think that's possible. You could use the lock down feature to disable the fingerprints temporarily?
Currently, you can choose to disable fingerprint for authenticating access to the phone (i.e., require passcode/password for entry into phone) while still allowing fingerprint to work for all other functions once you're inside the user profile.
Settings > Security > Fingerprint unlock > [enter pin or passcode] > use for screen unlocking
