If possible, buy it directly from Google or directly from Amazon (not Marketplace!).
A trustworthy, reputable mail order company in your own region can also be a good source for purchases.
Preferably retailers who do not offer bundles with mobile phone contracts themselves, because retailers often separate contracts from devices that actually come with them and these devices are then still unlockable.
So I had purchased one Pixel 7 Pro from a trustworthy mail order company in Germany and then the Pixel 8 Pro directly from Amazon.de (not Marketplace, very important!).
I had initially ordered the Pixel 7 Pro with Google Watch as a pre-order with a discount directly from Google, but unfortunately this shipment was damaged on the way to me.
Google's good service accepted the cancellation of the damaged shipment even before it arrived and also ensured that I was quickly refunded my purchase price.
If I had ordered exactly the same product (bundle) again later, I would even have received the discount, even though the deadline for this would have expired.
But I found the (only) option on Amazon to buy the version with more memory as a European, so I decided not to take advantage of Google's friendly offer.
Besides, I wouldn't have wanted to use the Google Watch myself anyway...
