Airbnb app notifications not working

Hi,

I have Airbnb installed via sandboxed google play, and I am noticing that messages sent to me from hosts are not always showing in notifications. This is problematic because it's a platform where messages are expected to be responded to in a reasonable amount of time. When I opened the app today and yesterday, I had messages from a few hours prior that were sent, and I had no idea.

How do I approach this issue? Notifications are turned on, and I can't find any settings to solve this.

Usually, the best way to fix this kind of problem is by reinstalling the app so that the app can do some kind of initialization with FCM. Also, make sure Google Play Services has the network permission and its "app battery usage" setting is set to unrestricted.

other8026 When I first installed it, it seemed to work and then suddenly it stopped working the next day. The only difference in how I used it was that when it was working, it was open but minimized. When I close the app completely by sliding it up via gesture, it doesn't seem to pull the notifications.

I'll try reinstalling it since my settings are all good and see how that goes.

I installed the AirBnb app through the aurora store and it just fails to load the hosting area of the app.

Do you have to use a google account with the google play store to get this to work?

john_wiki Airbnb is one of the apps that I decided not to install on my new GOS device, but use the website instead. I saved it to the start screen for quick access.
It's a new motto of mine: Why install a (potentially intrusive) app if I can do everything I need with the website?

Hi, I have an issue with Airbnb Hosting App, it is not working. I can only use the part of the tool to book apartments but I cannot use the Hosting part, because I get an error in the app.

Anyone experience the same issue?
Any clue how to fix it?

Hi, I figured it out.

Download the app in a user profile with google play services installed. And you'll be able to download the hosting portion of the app there.

The airbnb app on your non-google user profile should have it automatically installed.

Perhaps the app is using Play Feature delivery to download additional resources from Play Store on-demand.
