Thoughts on security of Kicksecure (debian based linux distribution)??

Does anyone have any thoughts on Kicksecure and how it compares to general Linux distributions in terms of security? I'm planning on running it on QubesOS.

Can't say anything about it from a technical perspective but it's the only other "security-focused distribution" besides QubesOS on the community's favourite website (as well as being the basis for Whonix). So I'm sure that has to mean something.

Not that well known and I'd guess not a huge number of users.
