Being locked out of an account which is only app based is extremely troublesome. It has happened to my partner before on their Pixel 6a too back in May 2024.
To be clear, I don't know what's happening.
But I think last summer everybody on GrapheneOS was having trouble. So far this summer, in this thread, we have two countdown reports from people with EOL devices and two reports that it's working fine (lawman Lilac6044) from people who haven't indicated which devices they have.
Carlos-Anso made the plausible suggestion that this summer Starling (or potentially a contractor) may be moving to block EOL devices. Perhaps more people (e.g., edwin-jones JMB_79 Faz Johnny_Castaway SpiderWebb Wydro) will weigh in on whether the Starling app is still running fine on GrapheneOS, and hopefully people can report which devices they are/aren't having trouble with.
