Features Ideas?

Let me know if any of these have been mentioned already/being worked on/why they cant be implemented. These are just some ideas I had that I think would suite GOS well. I have no knowledge about development or programming but I really enjoy this OS and just wanted to share.

1. Persistent Facial Recognition. Basically have face scanning every 10 seconds or so for very sensitive profiles. That way if somehow your PIN leaks that specific profile still can't be accessed without your presence. I understand Face ID is insecure for unlocking the device but using it for this would have that additional layer of security.

2. Take front/back picture after # of unlock attempts.

3. Access different profiles straight from lock screen by entering different PIN/Password (different passwords for different profiles)

4. Auto turn off Microphone, Camera, Location just like wifi and bluetooth

5. Separate colors for location, camera, microphone indicators

6. "Location Scopes" = ability to set mock locations

7. Store more than 4 fingerprints

Do you mean when the phone is in BFU (fresh from an initial boot of the phone)? Because if so, there's a reason for why this feature isn't a thing:

The owner profile is special and is used to store sensitive system-wide operating system data. This is why the owner profile needs to be logged in after a reboot before other user profiles can be used.

To be honest most of these are a no-go for me. They are just a security risk. I don't want my phone taking pictures on its own nor do I ever want facial recognition.

Dumdum Yea I understand BFU state and everything but it could be after so you dont have to enter the owner profile and could just go straight into another profile. Is this possible?

If the phone is in AFU, you can just swipe down on the lockscreen and click the profile icon (to the left of the cog) and you can select a profile from there.

I am attracted to GrapheneOS because of its security, not for a lot of “features” which require time for staff to maintain, when they could be doing more important things.
