I agree with what Nuttso and others said. I'd also love and would donate if there would be a paysafe integration. This would be the most preferable method for me right now.

I also like for example what F-droid is doing with Liberapay and OpenCollective, with the option of direct bank transfers in a couple different major fiat currencies.

Today I made a small paypal donation. Wanted it to be a monthly recurring donation. $X paid monthly over a year to have OS happy with and continually developed worth it. Problem was payment to an individual. There was no way to make recurring. So now to continue I am looking at not only remembering what literally peanuts for me in scheme of things, but now hassle of repeating monthly a peanut payment. Not exactly user friendly for someone wanting to donate.

    maqueen Thanks for donating! It makes a difference. The hassle is unfortunate. I think the developers are working on more options... at least, recently a legal entity was set up in Canada.

    As a temporary workaround, might it be less hassle to donate quarterly?

      maqueen Currently, I believe the only way to set up a recurring donation is via GitHub Sponsors. It may be possible to set that up via Stripe in the future, but nothing's set in stone yet.

          The choice to donate is easy: we all value this OS over what comes with Google phone. The time and effort to create and manage GrapheneOS has a price.

          I see it as licensing an amazing OS.

          GrapheneOS PayPal account was locked with 4000 CAD on it. Consider matching the donations through other means. Note, I'm not speaking for GrapheneOS.

          Unfortunately, PayPal permanently locked our GrapheneOS Foundation account today. No reason has been provided for the account being locked. All we've done is accept donations. We added our bank account information yesterday in order to begin withdrawing money and it was locked.

            Damn... So happy crypto donations can not be blocked. Thanks for the update!

            Today i donated via EU/Swift. (not much, but more to come on a irregular basis)
            The constant updates/patches/hardening speaks for itself.

            Good thing he doesn't listen to you, then. I donate regularly, but if these were to be implemented, I would leave GOS.

              I am seeing an 83% of monthly goal met on GitHub. Not good enough, considering there is only a week until the end of the month. I raised my monthly donation to $20, it is the best I can do long term. Donations are absolutely essential, please consider the importance of having GrapheneOS in your daily life.
