When switching users I often have to enter my pin instead of using biometrics.
Using pixel 7.
Am I missing something? It's very cumbersome.

Cubbyhole8982 If you have many fingerprints registered, try this: https://discuss.grapheneos.org/d/5731-bug-fingerprint-unlock-disabled-after-profile-change/84
Known issue.
Cubbyhole8982 using more then 2 fingerprints in owner seems to be the bug.
I think the latest update changed something. The fix worked in letting me use fingerprints for switching profiles, but after the update, the pin shows up instead of biometrics. Hopefully not only on my end?...
CuriousGeorge No, it's not only on your end. Reported by many alpha and beta testers. Google probably messed up again.
Gawd dammit, Google... Thanks for letting me know
Since the last update (Build 2024040300), this bug is also occurring again for me.
The following workaround seems to help:
When the PIN/password prompt appears, swipe back twice.
Then I can unlock the device biometrically again.
I use gesture navigation (settings> system> Gestures> Navigation mode> Gesture mode
), I can't say whether this also works with 3-button navigation.
CuriousGeorge if the pin pad comes up swipe down to remove pin pad and reveal fingerprint option .
Skyway oh sweet, that works. Thanks!
I'm also experiencing this since the latest update. I have only one fingerprint registered.
Swiping down or back (using gesture navigation) removes the PIN unlock and reveals the fingerprint reader.
