"ask everytime" for app network permissions

Can we have an "ask everytime" and "allow while only using app" for network permissions? Like the one we have for location, mic and camera?

I think it is quite useful when I use non open source apps such as Shazam, instagram etc.

fid02 its because i always manually turn ON the network permission everytime I want to use a service, so I want an automatic toggle for it

An app that utilizes network won't be able to function as intended when in background (when battery optimized), it should stop running after ₁₀ minutes, unless it is woken up to display notification or to reconnect. You might as well just disable it when not in use. There is no additional toggle needed for that.

It wouldn't really make sense, as there is no real threat model in which it would help.

Apps can simply hold data indefinitely until they're given network access again. This is something they have to do as part of normal functionality (think when Wi-Fi or data isn't available), it's not a special thing they'd have to special-case.

matchboxbananasynergy I could see utility for this, if the permission timed out after a certain amount of time in the background. Or if it tined out and needed to ask and have the permission granted again after a set time, maybe 15-20 minutes?

Then this setting would allow foreground usage of an app with network access, but would prevent background network access. Location would also benefit from a time-out such as this...
