  • Request for testing and feedback with Bluetooth on Android 14 QPR2 GrapheneOS

topro It happens that I was able to do a test with another Pixel8Pro which is on latest stock rom (2024-03-05) and on this one connect works flawlessly, so I assume it is a grapheneos specific issue.

Well, so now we have at least one evidence of something working with QPR2 stock OS and not working with QPR2 GrapheneOS.
Can anyone confirm this phenomenon with any other device?

GrapheneOS well, if there would be 1 rollback release to pre-QPR2, and moving the QPR2 back to beta would be a solution for few, if I am reading this thread correctly

p0well34 Galaxy Watch 6 is connecting and working on friends P6a running stock.

When reporting "works on stock" it would probably be best to specify the build number from the stock device (if it's pre-QPR2 stock that is not diagnostic).

p0well34 Thanks for reporting that. If there are a couple more reports the developers can look into whether they can reproduce on the stock OS.

Update: With the newer update the Pixel 6 Pro can connect again to the Mercedes. But the connection is not really stable. For example playing music via VLC stops frequently.

Furthermore dev op settings are disabled and logging is on. But no logs so far.

Really hope you can fix the issue with the smartwatches.

if there are any logs I can provide with my non-connecting device, please let me know how

        P7P no issues.

        I have a Pixel 6a with software build: 2024030900

JBL Charge 3, Pixel Buds A series and Mazda (Car) bluetooth connection working fine (Phone calls and Bluetooth audio)

Whats not working is my Galaxy Watch6.
I maked the experience if I reset my watch completly, I can connect and everything is fine for around 1h. After that its disconnect and is not able to reconnect by bluetooth (only wlan is working).

Steve868686 same here with Pixel8 latest grapheneos stable build and galaxy watch 6.

          Build: 2024030900
          Phone: Pixel 8 Pro

Bluetooth is shot, nothing will connect properly, only if I delete the profile and and re-pair the device I can then connect, but when I disconnect, I can't reconnect again.

Devices not working: Ears 2, Galaxy Watch 6 Classic, Black Shark II Headphones, Ford Ranger and various other audio devices like the Bose Soundlink and bluetooth enabled speakers.

          Devices working: None

Everything was fine as of 3 days ago, after this latest update, bluetooth is broken, I will have to stop using the phone until an update is pushed out and switch back to my iPhone as bluetooth is extremely important to me, I need my headphones for work purposes, I pretty much spend 8 to 10 hours a day with head phones on, only switching them out to charge.

Recently made an account to say I have the same connection issues with a Pixel 8 with build 2024030900 and a Galaxy Watch 6 Classic. I'll make the sacrifice and flash the stock OS back to see if I have the same issues on stock.

On a side note, neither my Galaxy Buds2 Pro nor my old Galaxy Watch 3 has any connection issues.

              Build: 2024030900
              Phone: Pixel 6
Devices not working: Galaxy Watch 6 Classic (SM-R950)
Devices working: AIAIAI TMA-2 Studio Wireless+ Headphones, Anker Soundcore 3, Samsung Soundbar B5

The watch's behaviour is very similar to what's already been reported here: it constantly flips between Other devices and Saved devices. The only way I can get it to stay connected for any length of time is by forgetting the Bluetooth device. The Galaxy Wearable app then resets itself (thanks, Samsung) and the only way to reconnect is by doing a full factory reset on the watch. Otherwise, none of the app's setup seems to work. Even that fix is only temporary, though; the next time the watch disconnects, it doesn't successfully reconnect.

NXG-3D I will have to stop using the phone until an update is pushed out and switch back to my iPhone as bluetooth is extremely important to me, I need my headphones for work purposes, I pretty much spend 8 to 10 hours a day with head phones on, only switching them out to charge.

You can't use a USB-C to audiojack dongle in the meantime?

Panda-na I dont have wired headphones or a dongle unfortunately, and being tethered to the phone would be a pain in the backside, I use Bluetooth almost exclusivly and I switch back and forth from my phone to a PC, depending on if its a phone call or a Teams call, path of least resistance is to dust of the iPhone until the issue is resolved.

Well, even after several manual disconnects/reconnects, turning off/on Bluetooth on both devices, and rebooting both devices, I cannot reproduce the same issue on stock OS, build AP1A.240305.019.A1

emacsomancer I have this same issue with my Pebble Time and my Pixel 7 after the QPR2 update. I also have a pebble2 HR which does pair and work just fine weirdly. I have not tested with the stock Pixel 7 QPR2 update, only with GrapheneOS since I don't want to reflash my phone right now.

There's a sortof similar issue posted on the gadgetbridge gitlab https://codeberg.org/Freeyourgadget/Gadgetbridge/issues/3596 . Unconfirmed if it's related or not though.

If I turn off my Watch6 my other devices appear to work properly. If my Watch6 is on nothing will work correctly, including the Watch6.
