Hi all
I am new to GrapheneOS, and so far I am loving it!
I want to maximize privacy and minimize tracking as much as possible. I have set my GrapheneOS up to use multiple users in order to compartmentalize things. For now, I have the following users:
- "Owner" (The main administrator user) - No Google Play enabled here. Using F-Droid for apps.
- "Social Media" (Facebook, Reddit, etc. installed here) - No Google play here either. Using Aurora Store for apps.
- "Google" (for apps that require Google Play Services) - Sandboxed Google Play installed here. Using Google Play for apps.
- "Proprietary" (all other apps that are not FOSS, aren't social media or require Google Play) - No Google Play enabled here. Using Aurora for apps.
This set-up is kinda inconvenient though, because I use KeePass for all my passwords, and it is hard to sync the database between users. Also, it is inconvenient when apps need SMS verification codes.
So, I am just wondering - how do you guys have your GrapheneOS phones set up?
I am considering just deleting the "Social Media" and "Proprietary" user profiles and just use Arora along with F-Droid in the main "Owner" profile. I want to keep Google stuff separated from the main profile though. Will it be a bad idea to mix all the social media apps in with my main user? Does this allow apps like Facebook to track me more?
Thank you in advance for your help.
