Use main profile or not use it, that's the question

I think if I was just setting up my phone with GrapheneOS now, I would probably daily drive a secondary profile but, I probably wont switch over as there are disadvantages that @Murcielago mentions plus, I still run into issues where SMS does not come through to my secondary profiles. If I daily drove a 2nd profile this would cause me a lot of headaches.

I could be wrong but bad usb attacks may be more of an issue in the owner profile, in secondary profiles you can completely block app installations and use owner to install/update everything so if there is a malicious input device that opens a website, and tries to install an apk it just won't be able to do it, if you are in owner profile you can't block this and the input device can install anything from Vanadium by just clicking a toggle and giving it permission to install unknown apks.

On the other hand secondary profiles are buggy af, widgets just disappear every reboot, you can't set alarms from them that work after rebooting, and some other annoying things

Ciapp23 If someone needs to be mindful of battery use, it's just something to keep in mind.

My battery life is perfectly fine.

This would not be so bad. For me, I can see, using to the setting that notifies if the owner profile got a message, that the text was received but I have to go back to the owner profile and then back to the profile I was using to have it show up.

I have about 50GB music in my device. After a wipe iccopy to main profile using ADB, but ADB isn't available at additional profiles. How I can copy to daily profile if daily profile isn't the main profile?

Log in to the profile containing the data.
Copy the files to a computer via USB.
Switch to the profile to which you want to copy the data.
Copy the data back to your phone.

I am using the stock SMS app. I have tried others, just to see if it solves the issue. QKSMS seemed to be the most reliable but I can't tell if its an abandoned project or if its just a finished product that doesn't need updates.
