Hi everyone. I've been trying to find an alternative to Apple's airdrop ever since I made the switch to GOS. Snapdrop/Pairdrop kinda works, but I get insanely low speed. So I've been trying Localsend for the past few days. It's a lot better in almost every way and I'm mostly happy with it, but I'm facing a weird issue that I haven't seen mentioned here or anywhere else: the files that I receive from my computer to my Pixel 7 using Localsend do not always appear in the default pre-installed Files app, even though they're really there (I can see them with another file manager app, as well as on my computer via OTP when I plug my Pixel to it). The folders actually do show up, but empty (eg. if I send folder1/folder2/some_files, I'll only see the folder1/folder2 directories on my Pixel, without any of the actual files). Some other apps seem to not be able to immediately recognize files received via Localsend: Metro (a local music player) should show me any new audio file added to the ~/Music directory, but it does not do that when the file was transferred via Localsend (actually, I managed to make Metro see the file by manually adding that single file to Storage Scopes, even though the file was already inside a folder that was added to Storage Scopes for Metro...). I really don't understand what's going on.

Anyone else facing the same bug? Any idea what's going on? Thanks a lot in advance.

P.S.: I did check that the files were not marked as hidden for some reason, they were/are not.

First guess, always: internal app storage

Afaik you can set a default DIR to store stuff in Localsend
