X43 Graphene uses Android Flashing Tool.
I'm not sure 100% what is meant by that. I think the GrapheneOS web installer is a fork of kdrag0n/android-webinstall, also using kdrag0n/fastboot.js. I'm not sure what is meant by "Android Flashing Tool". Can you confirm that your questions are about the web installer on the GrapheneOS web site?
X43 With Vanadium on Graphene the installer won't recognize your device, when in bootloader. (Vol Down)
Need to go further (Vol Down > Select Recovery > Power + Vol Up > Select 'Enter Fastboot mode') to fastboot mode so you can select device in web installer, then installer reboots to bootloader (Vol Down) where device is not recognized as described before.
I'm not sure exactly what is going on here, but it sounds consistent with:
- Some problem is making the device not detectable while it is in the bootloader,
- When the installer sees the device in fastboot it sends it a command to reboot it into the bootloader.
If that's right then #1 seems like the thing to focus on.
By far the most common source of problems is cables. Cables that work ok for other purposes routinely do not work for flashing GrapheneOS. Has this particular cable previously been used for a successful flashing of GrapheneOS?
Which version of Vanadium do you have, running on which version of GrapheneOS?
