Hey guys, I am having trouble with restoring my Whatsapp chat backup. I am running GrapheneOS on Pixel 8 Pro. I will explain my workflow. I took backup of my Whatsapp chats in my old phone (Oneplus 7T) and it got saved on my Google Drive. Then I moved to my new pixel device (I already had Whatsapp installed way before and if I am not wrong I installed it even before installing google play services), I click on Whatsapp > Agree and Continue > put my phone number (Now, pixel 8pro does not have two sim slots and I transfer my primary sim to the pixel device, my whastapp is on a secondary number that is still on my oneplus) > Since my old phone (oneplus) had Whatsapp installed and active it asked me enter a 6 digit code that came up on my old device (oneplus) since I was switching devices > I enter in the code on my pixel device then it asks for couple of permissions like microphone, camera, etc, > then it starts to look for backups and here it asks me "if you previously backed up to Google Drive and want to restore it, give Whatsapp permission to check your Google account for backup" it gives me two options here: 1) Skip 2) Give permissions. When I click on Give Permission it takes gives another dialog box asking "choose an account > Add account" (for some reason it does not recognize my Google account that I used to activate Play store, anyways..) when I click on Add account it takes me to the sign in page and does not let me sign in. I see this error "This account already exists". I am freaking out a little now, I do see the chat backup in my google drive but still..Please any help would be really appreciated.
I found this whatsapp FAQ page and I an stuck where you can see the "Restore" button in the video: https://faq.whatsapp.com/618575946635920/?helpref=hc_fnav&cms_platform=android
After giving permissions it starts looking for accounts and that is where I am stuck.
