  • How to disable FLAG_SECURE (screenshot block) in certain apps?

There is an XPosed module but that obviously needs root and we dont want that.

I guess I could edit the APK, but then it would be self signed and many apps probably wont run then.

Any ideas?

The purpose is for tutorials and simply freedom. Apps cannot see other apps contents without special permissions like Accessibility, and I trust the screenshot and recording apps.

There's an open issue since 2021 for this subject if anyone interested.
Issue664
It is however marked as low-priority so don't get too excited haha

matchboxbananasynergy Hopefully sooner than later. I think GOS, in addition to privacy and security, should also champion complete user control, such as this, as well as allowing screenshots without an app knowing a screenshot was taken.

Can we get a priority bump for this feature request?
This problem is going from an 'annoyance' to oppressive
As of now, every time I need to take a screenshot in my banking app, I have to log into my PC because Android thinks I'm a thug for some reason

Sorry for the rant

I'm in for this as well. This is getting more and more annoying. Not even just banking apps also new updates from Meta services like WhatsApp. I want to screenshot what my screen is showing me. This is my buissness. Please reconsider the priority for this. Thank you!

It's an officially planned feature and someone can work on getting it done. We're already >!all working on higher priority tasks and there are more higher priority tasks to do after those.

GrapheneOS by "officially planned feature" what is meant? there is a list with all officially planned features somewhere (apart of the os issues tracker)? in general I see people linking tweets and replies to certain threads by project all around in the forum, so far that was what I considered officially planned, but there might be some sort of a list I'm missing?
