GrapheneOS this is the practically same exact model. The only difference being instead of the 128 version it is the 256. To my knowledge and quick research, there is no ram difference, just a storage difference.
I have played with all toggles under app settings, I have both turned off harden Malik and turned it on. I've also turned off debugging and turned it on, I've also had both turned on and turned off; while I noticed some minor maybe semi-moderate boost, the overall comparison between pure stock pixel 7 to pixel 7 with GOS is night and day in the game I mentioned. I've also noticed rare but debilitating slowdowns in Rush Royale where I'd be forced to shut screen off and back on as it would feel as though the FPS would slow down so severely that I could no longer interact with the game. I would like to say that it was general device slowness because I discovered while powering the screen off and then back on wood remedy it, it took a while for that to even occur after hitting the power button as well as it being the only fix for that particular issue in Rush Royale.
These are games that I've been playing for several months, and just kind of put up with it as whenever I would ask in chats I was told there's no issue. I've even tried to reinstall all sandboxed Google services, as well as the games themselves and have not experienced anywhere close to the same level of playability as I have while on stock.
Since I had lost my device and recently had to get another one i decided to give stock a try so I can get overall base readings to compare against significant, this was one thing that I noticed that was quite significant in my opinion.... Even so much as willing to compare to the a past issue regarding Google camera and the processing of an image taken, there was some back and forth that there was no issue there, but then couple months later a toggle was implemented to grant low level access to certain Google apps which significantly sped up the overall processing speed.
While I am not trying to directly say that the two are directly related, the overall assumption that everything is fine and nothing can or will be done proved somewhat incorrect, given, a solution was eventually found meaning there was an underlying issue to some degree.
Furthermore, MTE is not available for the pixel 7, and the device model is listed in this thread, some bit curious why this is being brought up in general unless I've missed something. Last I check MTE is only available for 8 and above
