ShadowBlade_26 Its not a specific headphone related issue , it happens with all Bluetooth devices, I haven't found a fix for it yet. My device is the pixel 7 pro with all the latest GrapheneOS updates
ShadowBlade_26 Sorry for replying to this thread so late, but the problem isn't solved yet, anyone knows why it's happening?
treequell Do you have the phone calls toggle enabled for your Bluetooth device? You'll find the toggle in Settings > Connected devices > Cog wheel next to the name of your Bluetooth device.
treequell It should be turned on. In your question you say that the ringtone plays through the phone speaker. What about once you pick up the phone? Is the audio routed through your phone speaker or the Bluetooth device?
ShadowBlade_26 treequell when I answer the call the audio goes only through the headphones or earbuds, but when the phone rings when there is an incoming call, it plays both through the phone's speakers and the headphones
treequell ShadowBlade_26 Thanks for clarifying. I believe the behavior is by design, and I'm not sure if there is a way to change that. What happens if you receive a phone call with the phone set to vibrate. Do phone calls still ring over your Bluetooth headset?
dirksche It's the same here with Pixel 7 and GOS, and with my Samsung running Stock Android. So it seems to be by design.
tomz I have same issue . I plugin wired earbuds into headphone jack output, the video sounds still outputs from speaker not my wired earbuds. not sure why. pixel 7
dirksche You have to plug in a wired headphone while your GOS device is unlocked. Otherwise it wont be recogniced.
