Hello, I have had issues for the last few weeks of using graphene. When I am on a call I can hear the person fine but I cut in and out for them. I am running the latest version of the OS and all of my carrier settings are set to default. I use a T-Mobile sim and it doesn't matter what carrier the person has it still cuts out.
Things I've tried:
I tried using default google phone app, same issue.
I tried WiFi calling only and have the same issue.
I reset the carrier settings. Same issue.
I factory reset the phone. Same issue.
I put the sim card back into my iPhone and call quality is perfect.

Let me know if more information is needed.

Stoker Can you try recording audio (e.g., record a video with the Camera app)? I wonder if there might be a problem with the microphone.

Also, does the problem happen with speakerphone calls, or only while holding the phone to your head?

Recording on the camera audio is clear, and using speaker phone still cuts out for the other person on the call

Stoker Does this happen everywhere, or only in certain locations? Does disabling 5G help?

          de0u
Disabling 5g doesn't change anything, and it is any where that it has the problem of cutting out.

Stoker Unfortunately it sounds as if you've tried all of the easy things, plus some of the hard things. I'm not sure I have any further ideas except for flashing back to Google's OS to see if the problem persists. If it does, there is probably a hardware problem. If not, then it might make sense to file an issue in the GrapheneOS issue tracker.

Thanks I figured that was the next step. Thanks for the advice I'll try reflashing the OS

Stoker I put the sim card back into my iPhone and call quality is perfect

I could be wrong, but this almost sounds as though your Graphene device is for some reason not properly downloading the correct APN settings; however, since you are going between iPhone and Android, have you made sure to fully disable iMessage before removing your SIM and putting it in the new device? I have read several reports that this can definitely cause issues with mostly messaging but occasionally calling as well

Did you manage to resolve the issue? I have encountered a similar one, however it differs in some contacts hearing me perfectly fine and others having the same problem as described above. (I am using a pixel 7a not 6a)

You guys also have the problem if you make a call via What'sApp, Signal etc?

any news about a fix? pixel 6a. does not always cut, depending of caller. Putting it on speakerphone makes my problems go away, though.

the cuts happen a little bit later in the phone conversation
