I'm new to GrapheneOS, having used DivestOS previously. I picked up a Pixel 4a 5G and am enjoying Graphene so far. One small issue is that although the phone is set to "Set time automatically" the time is a minute or so fast. Any idea what would cause this? Other devices on the same wifi network don't do this, nor do other phones I've tested on the same mobile network (Docomo in Japan, if that's relevant). Of course I could manually set the correct time, but I've never had to before so wondered how to resolve this.

Many thanks!

    Thanks for the reply.
I've set it fast, I've set it slow, I've tried it VPN off, I've tried it VPN on. I've restarted my device several times, but once I switch it to auto detect time nothing changes.
For now I've just set the time manually so at least I have the right time. Would be nice if the auto detect worked, though.

Hymix it's unusual because your case is an outlier. Could it have something to do with an issue getting the time zone from your cellular network?

The time zone is still obtained directly via the time zone provided by the mobile network (NITZ)

Could you work through all the steps here methodically and report back?

Other than a complete reset of the phone (Step 8) I did all of that before posting here on this forum. That page came up on a search so I followed those steps.

Hymix what happens if you manually set time zone but leave time to auto?

Hymix can you try SETTINGS>SYSTEM>RESET OPTIONS and reset your mobile wifi bluetooth etc to see if that helps?

Once done can you also check your APN settings to see if SUPL is listed under APN type as I know this is a network location service which might help.

            The apn type says "default,supl."

After doing that, i manually changed to the wrong time and set it to set time automatically and it corrected itself! Thank you.
