GrapheneOS Many people already have issues with setting "4G only" and not understanding that lack of their carrier fully supporting it is why they don't have working calls anymore, etc.
Just to add, as far as im aware the carrier will support this but need to be contacted for it to be enabled.
If its just to read posts you can use Nitter. You can browse through Vanadium but it can be slow sometimes. (nitter.net)
Its very difficult as these companies are always coming up with new ways to track.
Use a good VPN and their DNS (Proton,Mullvad,IVPN)
Use Vanadium for sign in accounts for extra security, always clear cookies from websites each and every time you use them.
Use Brave Browser on a separate profile for general browsing so all your eggs are not in one basket.
Email app like Tuta/Proton that blocks tracking pixels.
Use different search engines.
You can change clock settings etc but it depends how far you want to go. You will need to measure between privacy and convenience to what suits your needs. Its impossible to get 100% privacy.
grayway2 VPN : Mullvad or Proton (I don't trust IVPN)
I respect your opinion but definitely dont agree. IVPN in my opinion are the most trustworthy. They do regular independent audits and are very well respected in the VPN industry. Like i said i respect your opinion but wouldnt want others being put off by it.
There is probably a thread on here somewhere that answers most of your query but here are some basics anyhow that most of us agree on.
VPN - Mullvad, IVPN, Proton
Browser - Vanadium
Secure Notes - Standard Notes
Messaging - Signal or MollyThere are plenty of threads regarding F-droid, if you do a search in the forum you will get lots of info. Hope that helps you a bit.
HabibHabibHabib Nowdays the triangulation is more precise, with an accurary up to +-2meters is this correct?
If your in a fully functioning 5g area and you have 5g enabled in Sim settings then yes it can be around a few metres or so. If using LTE/4g only as recommended by the project then it wont be as accurate and more like 100m or slightly more.
Hi, Firstly welcome to GOS forum. Yes to the Proton notifications and as for profiles, while in separate profile its as simple as holding the power button down when finished with your Google Maps and pressing End Session, this will automatically shut that profile down and switch you back to your main one.
- In Why Privacy?
The thing is most of us on here know probably most things about privacy and why its important. The difficult thing is relaying that over to someone who is, to be frank about it "absolutely clueless"
I often lend friends computer magazines etc which tend to have privacy tips/advice and at least that way its coming from somewhere neutral. I think it would be beneficial to list on here the best Youtube videos for the complete novice.
When new features come along they are only a bonus in my opinion. I like im sure many others are just so grateful and appreciative of the hard work the devs put in literally 24hrs per day to keep us secure.

Have a look at the above thread and maybe that will help you decide.
You can try switching between Google server and "off" in Internet connectivity checks then reboot your phone and see if that makes any difference.
