  • Just wondering what graphene user's do for their syncing and back ups.
I tried self hosting nextcloud but I found it too slow, probably the computer I was using so I went a rabbit hole and I used a raspberry pi 3 that I had laying around to installed portainer.
So tell me what do you think about my setup.
Raspberry pi with a 256GB micro SD card
Attached 500GB USB HD for backups
    Portainer
    Docker conatiners:
Ftp server- To transfer video from a Reolink camera
Bakali- To sync calendar and contacts
    Samba- To share files
Syncthing - To sync files from raspberry, laptop, phone, etc but since I can access all my files through samba Syncthing my be redundant.
Tailscale- To access files when outside my network.
To my surprise the raspberrypi runs smooth.
I still need to figure out what I am going to use for backing up my docker containers and the data to the external hard drive.
    Any advise would be appreciated

  • The only backup that worked for me is on an USB drive
