Howdy folks!
I have recently set up a Pixel 9 with Graphene build # 2025021100. My pure joy and excitement in the PS; meanwhile, I have a problem / question.
When I have my headset connected (it's a BlueParrott B550; basically, a mike/headphone type deal), and an incoming call is ringing, only the headset is rigning. The phone is vibrating, but no ring audio is played.
I am running as "Owner" and not as a secondary profile (I did find a few threads regarding issues with Bluetooth and calls in that setup).
In the Bluetooth Settings, the headset is configured as "Headphones" audio device type; "Phone Calls" slider is enabled, as is the "Media audio" slider. "Allow access to contacts" is disabled.
I have tried (to no effect):
- switching "Audio will play on" setting to "This phone"
- rebooting
- re-pairing the headset
- using Google's phone dialer instead of a default one
What I expect is that notifications: phone, text, and app notifications, will ring thru both the headset and the phone's audio speaker.
In fact, I found a thread on this forum with someone complaining about exactly the behavior I want (call ringing both the phone and the headset) - with responses there saying it's default behavior.
Any help will be greatly appreciated :)
PS:
@GrapheneOS: thank you guys, for providing a clean, basic, no frills OS that can be made privacy focused (by not using Google stuff), or be used as just a debloated version of Android to run just what you want, with no AI assistants, bells and whistles, "health alerts", "you should turn down the volume 'cause <whatever>" notifications, automatic sync of everything everywhere, and so on - while not making it crash and fall apart and be intermittently buggy. Admittedly, I haven't touched Android for about 10 years - and it's a delight to see that now you guys exist and are doing such a great job.
