echo 0 | sudo tee /sys/bus/usb/drivers_autoprobe returns "0" and installing "android-sdk-platform-tools-common" tells me its already installed

I have CalyxOS on a google Pixel 5a. I am trying to download Graphene using the webtool. I have unlocked the bootloader and enabled usb debugging. With the phone in the boot menu I am running through the web installation. I click download release and it outputs the message "Downloaded barbet.............", I then click Flash release and it tells me I need to "download a release first". I have tried to do the CLI instructions but those are not producing anything productive either. I am using Linux and Google Chrome.
