  • When I pull down quick settings and select WiFi it says No networks available and the option to toggle WiFi off and on is missing. However when I go into settings and look all the WiFi networks appear and I can turn it off and on. This only occurs in user profiles the owner profile is fine.

Also GmsCompatConfig is listed alongside all my normal apps rather then only showing up when I toggle "Show system". GmsCompat is still under system apps however.

These are differences from my Pixel 8 Pro and I was just wondering if it was how it was intended to work.

  • On my Pixel 8 Pro I would turn on airplane mode, turn off the WiFi and then power off the phone before going to sleep. Then when I would turn it back on in the morning the time would be off by as much as 2.5 hours. A year later I get a Pixel 9 Pro XL and do the same thing and when I turn it back on the time is off by about an hour. Is this worth returning the phone over and what could be causing this to happen in both phones purchased so far apart and bought at different locations?

  • If someone were to shoulder surf my pin and temporarily gain access to my phone what is the worst case scenario. I'm imagining someone rooted it and installed some sort of surveillance app or something reset it and restored it via seed vault. Not sure if that exactly would be a valid attack method but something along those lines. Anything disastrous and anything that could survive a factory reset? My apologies if this is a dumb question.

Sorry I thought that's what I copy and pasted in not sure why it ended up like that.

      • Does GrapheneOS disable the diagnostics menu found on Pixels? The one you reach by dialing ##7287##

        • Does GrapheneOS protect against simjacker in anyway? If GrapheneOS doesn't mitigate simjacker would keeping my phone in airplane mode and using a portable WiFi router with a sim card in it for WiFi when not in range of regular sources of WiFi prevent simjacker attacks? If not are there any other advantages to using a portable WiFi router other than hiding location?
