this is one of the better articles i think ive seen written on graphene to be honest, and the comments also seem pretty calm and helpful, along with the slight corrections. im very happy to see this
well, graphene is working with an oem on having their own device that wouldnt be a pixel, but we dont know how much thatll cost or even who theyre working with yet
semi what add button? i go to the usps tracking site, hit the kebab menu in the top right, the info (i) icon, permissions, and i can toggle javascript jit
hmop thats not true, android is still open source
userofgos i know that, thus its nothing to be concerned about, i was just saying people are often concerned about it
__Blank__ thats not what most people are worried about anymore, most concern recently comes from android not providing device trees anymore, thus graphene has to maintain their own
printf im just repeating whats been said by the grapheneos official project account on social media/discord in response to the same questions
source code for android 16 is available, and graphene has already been ported to android 16. the pixel 10 will most likely be supported unless something major changes (like a non-unlockable bootloader) and graphene will continue to be updated on all currently supported devices. its fine.
de0u doesnt graphene have the automatically installed skylo esim for satellite stuff? im not sure how any of it works i just remember reading people asking about why theres a preinstalled esim, and someone saying it was for the satellite functionality
semi like the other person said, allowing JIT for that page fixed it for me
gaufffke there might be a silent notification on your phone you have to tap to get to the usb connection settings
nandohyphen1 im not sure, probably only affected?
PuddingFan graphene will make the 6a battery stuff optional, you can still use your phone the way it worked before the update, though its a bit of a risk of course
i dont know exactly what youre asking so ill answer two likely questions
- yes you can update your pixel to a16 on stock and then switch to gos
- a16 for graphene is currently in beta and will be coming to the stable branch soon
nandohyphen1 dont know if this will fix it, but apps that rely on google play sometimes have to be reinstalled after installing google play. also some apps check if they came from play store or aurora and dont work if theyre from the latter
cleanbowtie the "check for software updates" button just makes a silent notification appear in your notification tray, so it really does seem like it does nothing. just see if you have a new notification after pressing it
ErnestThornhill yeah, but this initial android 16 release is going through an additional sideload-only experimental phase right now, might be a while before it even hits alpha
at&t works fine on graphene for me
so your music app pauses in between each song? yeah ive never had that issue or seen anyone with that issue in the forums or discord, and i cant imagine itd be an issue with graphene.
