Putting it in the allowlist solved the notification issue.

    • Hello,

Looking for some help with a quite unexpected problem I am encountering with a pixel 9 pro XL device.

I have been using grapheneOS for almost 4 years, I have experience setting up grapheneOS devices, I daily drive a device with multiple user profiles, some using sandboxed Gplay to get push notification on them. I never had an issue with notifications in the past.

I am trying to transition to a new pixel 9 pro XL.

Currently I am unnable te get any push notifications from any apps that require Sandboxed Google Play services to get such notifications. Ex: Hushed (VOIP) Team/outlook, protonmail
Simple X or wire wich rely on their own services for notifications works fine.
I tried the commun trouble shooting steps (unrestricted battery/background acces, uninstall reinstall) and nothing seams to be working for me.
I use different profiles, I tried porting apps from owner profil, installing from inside the profil (after Sandboxed Gplay as been installed inside de profil) wipping the device and trying in a different order.

My wanted end state: owner profil only to download / update apps, using obtanium & accresent for the major part of app management Gplay for the rest. I use proton VPN in all profiles and DNS over TLS (nextDNS costum profil).

If anyone as an idea what might be causing the problem, I am intersted in you thoughts.

      Thanks
