Audacity0780 Wow! That means I can sign up, connect a card, and pay using my phone running GOS. I gotta try!

- I use Gallery from lacoblonut01 on GitHub, pretty decent. 2. Keyboard - FUTO keyboard - My recent founding from this forum as the stock keyboard is so bad. FUTO I can really recommend. 2. For filemanager, I just found Ghost commander last night and it seems okayish. Others prefer Material Files app.
ZetaDroid All apps are installed on owner's profile via Obtainium, disabled and pushed to the secondary "Degoogled", where I also have Aurora and F-Droid which is there for testing purposes only at the moment. Profile with Google Play only isn't running on the background I think as I always tend to end session after I'm done. (Google play app is installed there solely and not pushed from the owner's profile)
Also, I just tried it and got a message about GP update so got it updated and banking apps are working fine -> there were no updates at all.
Hi, my owner's profile includes VPN app only andy second profile is completely "Degoogled". On the other hand my third profile and only is running Google play for the sake of banking apps and everything is working fine for me, and I am using this profile only once per week or so.
CGAMER138 If I were you and happy with Px6, I wouldn't push myself to upgrade. Although you can get Pixel 8 for fair price on "EvilBay" 😅. I got mine 8pro 256gb for about £310 on eBay last month in near mint condition as well as Pixel 8a 128gb for £200 this week, also in a great condition. Used Pixel phones are, surprisingly, really cheap in my opinion. If you asked me why I have 2 Pixels.... Well, I'm not a super rich, but currently testing setups that could work for me 😎 And with 6 years support ahead I have no regrets.
Hi, can anyone help with this? I'd like to download app from Google play but getting a message "This app won't work on your device".
The app support got back to me and said that both my devices (P8pro, P8a) are on the list of allowed devices.
Aurora won't work either. It does download, but won't play following error message that it wasn't installed via Google Play.
I am thinking is there any particular setting I need to have in order to make this one app working?

Lol. If this isn't a troll profile ask us anything about your initial setup here. We're happy to help.

I have a profile with Google Play installed purely for banking apps only (No Google Play anywhere else). NatWest, Starling, Revolut, you name it, works. (I have no Barclay's though!). If Barclay's is a still persistent problem I'd try to install Google Play on the owner's profile, disable it and push it to the other profile and install Barclay's there (I never tried it but it could help).
Brave browser password auto fill works great. What doesn't work great if you're using Obtainium (Brave without Google Play) is the Sync feature allowing you importing all stuff from you desktop, etc.
There's also great FOSS app called KeePassXC - Cross platform password manager. It also supposed to auto fill passwords from the database stored in your phone, and with proper app's privilege to access the keyboard I think (I am still about to explore this option and I'd like to know others opinion).
What a brilliant idea how to safe data and battery! I've never thought about it that way. If it happens anyone will find the way how to do this I'm all in!
By any chance, could you share what ssd reader are you using and what file system has it been formated? It could also be silly thing like a cable...
Something isn't right in my opinion. Once you have Google Play and install apps through it then it should work. I'd try uninstall app and install it again. Perhaps do that with Google play as well.

I think that I've noticed it as well a couple of times but unsure if it was with Vanadium. I just tried to go through multiple tabs scrolling down and up again and can't see it's happening.Hi, I'd be also interested to know more what would be better. To my knowledge about fingerprinting, there's no way how to avoid it completely without breaking things. It's a broad topic and someone would have to test it side by side (Vanadium vs Safari).
Someone here has been already testing fingerprinting across profiles. It's a great discussion that may help you understand more about fingerprinting. (https://discuss.grapheneos.org/d/5775-device-fingerprinting-test-results-concerns-and-questions)
I reckon that avoiding fingerprinting is super hard and mega inconvenient to do.
IMHO in short: Vanadium vs Safari = same! It all depends on user's behaviour. But I might be wrong and happy to hear opinions from others.
