Maybe it's not the case but... I've experienced that most of the Network & SIM options are available only in the Owners profile. Are you looking for it in a secondary profile or in the Owner's one?

    Solved for me HERE

The thing is to turn "allow camera access when the device is locked" ON... in MAIN PROFILE!!! , mostly because there's no such option available on the other profiles. So make to turn on these 2 options:

    1. Settings > Security > Allow camera access when the device is locked > ON.
    2. Settings > System > Gestures > Quickly open Camera > ON.
    • Not solved for me with Pixel 8 and last GOS installed. Same issue with the same 2 camera apps and after all those cases been tested.

A step back in these last GOS updates or... Any idea?

      • No answer so... I'll supose that that's the better option indeed?

      • Yes, shelter seems to do that but just in the main profile which i still keep GSF free.

Like the creator of the post I need to use 2 different WhatsApp accounts, one for each phone line (1 personal and 1 for a familiar local business). I need to manage also at least 2 calendars and 2 list of contacts ( till now using 2 different Google accounts was easy).

Trying to turn my privacy on the better i can I'm looking for the best GOS setup here is my approach: 4 profiles ( Main clean of GSF and just with FOSS essential apps, third and fourth ones with GSF for baking and stores respectively and the Second one with GFS for being my everyday's personal and work profile with Google accounts for calendars, contacts and calls).
As you can see the Second one is going indeed to be my main profile in terms of usage.

I'm now trying to build a Nextcloud server to migrate my contacts&calendars and making Nextcloud the one who synchronizes with my Google accounts (i missed that i have 2 employees and family dependant of the synchronization of those calendars without technical skills for leaving Google's umbrella)

I don't know if it is the best option but I have doubts. If I continue with Google and don't turn off the second profile when I'm in the main one, my privacy will be damned, right? Furthermore, WhatsApp will do its thing with all my information from that profile as it did till now in my Xiomi since I have to allow it to use the network... newbie doubts.

Any better idea will be welcomed.

      • Hi, what about if WhatsApp was the one i need to duplicate?
And, what about the issue of the contracts sharing necessity between profiles?
