  • Hi everyone,
I'm considering switching to GrapheneOS primarily for enhanced security and greater control over app permissions and data sharing between apps. I want to use the exact same Android system I'm used to—but with more granular control over how apps communicate and what data they share.

One question I have concerns the Google Camera app. When I take a photo with it, I see a “processing image” message before the final picture appears clear. Does anyone notice any difference in image quality or processing performance when using Google Camera on GrapheneOS compared to running it on stock Google OS? Is the “processing” indicator simply part of normal image enhancement, or should I be concerned about potential quality compromises?

I'm just an average user looking for a more secure setup without sacrificing the familiar Android experience as I getting the newest pixel phone for just the picture quality they have. Any insights or comparisons from your experiences would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance!
