Been googling for this and I found many threads reference the same issue, but it appears to be deleted. Is there any movement on this?

I'm running into this as well, pixel 8a. Has there been any movement on this on the part of NFCU?

This is my first time using grapheneos, is there any kind of release cadence?

While it's less secure, I stick to firefox anyways. Extensions like video background fixer are just too useful to ignore. uBlock Origin gets rid of a ton of annoyances, including the endless supply of the ones on reddit (app prompts, blur filter, etc,) and the google login prompts are on basically every news site now. A lot of mobile sites these days basically give you a choice of being more easily tracked or having a deliberately crippled user experience.
