I have tried using the built in messages program but I have not been able to get my notification icons to always show when I receive a new SMS message or MMS message from some number. I can usually test it from a TFA site like my bank login for example but sometimes my contacts send me SMS messages and I can get a sound nofication but not always seeing an icon on the top notification bar. The OS is set to allow notifications and so is the app. Sandboxed google play services is running unrestricted and so is the messages app. Play store is set to unrestricted as well. I have tried restarting the phone also. Messages app is version 1.0.001 and OS build is 231205.015.2023121200 My phone is a Pixel 7a
