Pixel camera image processing stuck

The image processing indicator, which appears in the lower left corner after taking a photo, never completes. When open a freshly taken picture from the camera app, the indicator freezes halfway through. Has anyone else experienced this, or can someone suggest a possible fix?

Do Google apps have access to hardware accelerators on your phone? You can check from the owner profile here: Settings > Apps > Special app access > Special access to hardware accelerators.

other8026 Access granted. Additionally, pictures appear normal when I open them from the Google Photos app (fully processed). However, when I open a just taken picture through the camera app, it gets stuck in the processing state.

esta_kolpa Strange. I tried again on my phone. I took many photos and switched to Google Photos immediately after and the processing finishes in Google Photos without problem.

Maybe you can try clearing Google/Pixel Camera and Google Photos' storage to see if that helps?

other8026 I reinstalled Google Photos and Pixel Camera, and now they work as expected. Thank you. I also noticed Pixel Camera Services on the Play Store. Should I install that as well?

esta_kolpa Not sure. I've never installed it. According to the description, it looks like the app is supposed to allow other apps to use things like night sight. It also says it's preinstalled on the Stock OS. My guess is that it requires special privileges to work, so it might not even work on GrapheneOS. I could be wrong, though.
