I use a Pixel 7 with GOS installed, and my earbuds are Sony WF-C700N earbuds. When I have the earbuds in, I can listen to music just fine. But for some reason, on many occasions when I make a phone call, the phone or the dialer app doesn't recognise that I have earbuds in. The call goes straight to the speakers instead. I've had this issue with both a custom dialer app and the default Google phone app (installed from the Play Store). This forces me to put my calls on speaker even when I'm in public places, which I find very embarrassing as I know it annoys other people.
I'm not sure how to diagnose the issue further, so I don't know what's causing this. Is this an OS issue? A hardware issue? Has anyone else had a similar problem? If so, how did they fix it?
I'll be grateful for whatever help you can offer.
