Lukas I agree with raccoondad.
For example, if hypothetically somebody knew a way around 6-digit PINs, but not against long passphrases, any such somebody working for a police or intelligence agency would probably not want to announce publicly, "Hey everybody, we have a way to break open a Pixel with a 6-digit PIN in 240 hours, so anybody who doesn't want to be broken into should hurry up and switch to a long passphrase!".
Some people making such a discovery might well share it publicly (academics, freelancers), but the people with the most financial and hardware resources, i.e., the people most likely to have such a trick, most likely wouldn't announce it.
