ywedw9tn There are some 6 A's on sale at my local walmart, They are going for $199. They are locked to Straight Talk. Are these able to be unlocked?
[deleted] ywedw9tn I don't think so. Try Amazon, Google seller with link to their store (all should be OEM unlocked). Then look at who delivers it. If it's Amazon, it's okay, anyone else shut both eyes. Price is not always the winner.
raccoondad ywedw9tn I have a rule of always buying from Google directly personally, what I would recommend if possible
User2288 ywedw9tn the sub model that you buy is important. Make sure you buy one of the factory unlocked submodels. Search online to learn which submodel of the 6a are factory unlocked. Make sure the model you buy is one of those. You can also find factory unlocked 6a models from bestbuy and on ebay for ~ 200$. Brand new.
BalooRJ Don't confuse carrier locked with OEM unlocking. Effectively all carrier locked phones however have OEM unlocking disabled. If you want a phone with OEM unlocking, buy new directly from Google, Amazon, or Best Buy.
monero4freedom In case of shopping for second-hand pixel 6a phones, how does one determine if the particular one is OEM unlocked or not? Is there an info-screen under pixel 6a settings that displays that?
