Cannot enter pin on my phone, am I screwed?

I cannot enter my pin manually because the touchscreen is partially non-functional. Is there a way to unlock my phone without the use of the touch screen or am I screwed here?

I have tried using a USB mouse and the android debug bridge to no avail, it looks like these options need me to change some settings before I do it, wich I obviously can't do in my situation.

KivDul4 You can use a USB keyboard and mouse.

KivDul4 USB peripherals are still accepted at boot with the default setting because that doesn't interfere with the goal of defending data that's not at rest. At boot while it's at rest is not currently in scope for the feature. Some other OSes have an incorrect implementation of disallowing USB at boot where they really just allow it, can get compromised through it, then disable it later which appears as if they didn't allow it to users...

Do you have a mouse with a usb dongle? Maybe that can type the pin with the cursor arrow.

[deleted] Yes. I did try that and no cursor appeared, the lighting on the mouse lit up for half a second then went dark. I think its because of a default setting mentioned here: https://www.reddit.com/r/GrapheneOS/comments/fv6jgc/comment/fmhkojw/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3

I did try the same mouse and same dongle on another phone, in which case it worked instantly.

I was afraid it wouldn't work. My only idea was a long shot.

Edit: Replacing the screen on Pixels is an option. iFixit is the company name if I'm not mistaken.

[deleted] yeah the screen needs replacing. My insurance covers it but their terms state that if they cant fix it they brick the phone, so I wanted to back up some data and factory reset the phone. Nothing super important, probably just gonna send it in.

KivDul4 just another thing to keep in mind , most places that do screen repair (on pixel at least) will flash back to stock android to calibrate the new screen so sending it out to repaired may not guarantee recovering data .

KivDul4 if you take it to a physical location for replacement, it may be worth mentioning you'd rather not have it wiped. i can only speak to my experience, but i had a similar issue to you. i took it in for repairs under warranty and said i was sad about the wipe. the repair tech said they could easily bypass the wipe and not to worry about it. got my phone back in full working order.

obviously, this may not work. g**gle's policy is clearly a full wipe and other stores may not know how or be willing to bypass it. but if connecting a mouse continues to fail you, probably worth checking.

GrapheneOS Thanks for helping. Could you think of a reason why a USB mouse wouldn't work? I am quite sure I never messed with a setting for that.

I did try using a USB mouse and no cursor appeared, the lighting on the mouse lit up for half a second then went dark. There is no reaction from the phone whatsoever, screen just dims and shuts off after a while due to no detected input. The same mouse and adapter worked on my old phone.
