Not another typo ...the same typo! 😳
I was really scratching my head there.
Do clarify still, cause its still not clear what you wanted to say there, and now its kind of important as a false imprint has now been made on my subconscious and i need rescue.
f_vending 1. If you trust the a Aurora service quality and don't necessarily want to avoid the use of Play Store by all extends, then it is a better option than F-Droid?
It seems like you didnt read the link i posted for you because it answered this question.
Aurora store pulls all its apps from play store. Fdroid is not the same thing as play store. Their app libraries are overwhelmingly different. They may have a few similar apps (which are also probably slightly different) but that's it. Therefore neither store is a replacement for the other. You cant rely on fdroid for all your app needs. You will still need apps from the Play library. Also there are apps on fdroid that you cant get from Play library. So.
f_vending 2. Is apkmirror and apkpure similar to Aurora but allows direct download of the APK? I understand they might have apps unavailable on Play Store but how do they have gmail, Spotify, etc. assuming it wasn't the original developer company that uploaded them there? (so either get from Play Store or extract the APK with a file manager)
Again the link i had posted answers this question precisely.
Another way to download apps from the PlayStore repository is through websites such as APKmirror and APKpure. They download the apps with their own google accounts and provide a copy of that download on their website for people to download. This is a useful source in some cases (as no app or account is necessary and the full PlayStore repository is available to you) but is not ideal because updating the apps is a total pain and fully manual, which is not realistic. Aurora is a much more practical solution.
No app provider "uploads" anything to apkpure/apkmirror. The apps are gotten by the apkmirror/pure and provided to you. Apkpure/mirror provide all versions and variants of every app which makes it possible to download things not compatible with your device. For example you can use them to download the TV version of apps so you can install on your android TV boxes.
