Different version app in other user space?

My banking app (Triodos bankieren) has been updated and the new version doesn't run anymore on 'rooted devices'. Although my phone isn't rooted I am a bit suspicious. Can I run the new version in another user space while keeping the old version in the owner space?

If you receive a warning from your banking app indicating that your device may be insecure, jailbroken, or rooted, this is usually due to the SafetyNet/Play Integrity API. Specifically, your device fails to pass MEETS_DEVICE_INTEGRITY.

To my knowledge its not possible to run different versions in different profiles as all profiles seems to share an app just seperate userdata. probally a space savings thing.

however what you could do while you kindly as the app developer of the bank app to use real attestation api's documented here is install an app store with version control like aurora. and after uninstalling the app ( android have downgrade protection) look up in aurora for the app then go to the settings and manually install the version that worked (the 3 dots and manual download)

Hopefully your banks developers arent asshats and fixes it quickly as there is no reason to not allow graphene

akc3n oh damn. ive already installed a bunch from aurora store that works fine.

since its already has alot of apps installed. would you reccomend i set aurora store to my specific device model and keep using it or just install sandboxed google play in those profiles and use the official store on a throwaway account.

a 3rd option could be to uninstall aurora eveyrwhere and use one dedicated install profile to keep all apps and never use them there all installed from google store on an alias account.

still pretty new to graphene so not sure what the best way forward now is without nuking those profiles and starting over.

For the record: I updated the Triodos Bankieren app (to version 4.6.5) after consulting the bank, and it runs fine, although it supposedly checks for root (my device is not rooted). I have to disable Exploit Protection Compatibility Mode and Memory Tagging to run it, but that is a different story.
