Graphene OS does not update

Hi, I seem to have a problem with updating my OS. Don’t know what the problem is…I even get notifications saying Can’t fetch app data or something simillar.
I just saw there’s a new version out but Im still on 2023111500…
Best guess I can think of it probably stoped updating when I installed protonvpn, I tried deleting the app but no luck, still can’t update.
I think all my network permissions are ok. Can’t update on mobile nor wifi network, when I tap check for updates it says device is up to date.
I really don’t have any clue what could be wrong. Can anybody help?

Hello! There is nothing wrong, you are up to date on the stable channel. When updates are announced they are pushed to the alpha channel first, then beta and finally stable. See the releases page. You may even see two or more update announcements before anything shows up for you, when that happens the previous update didn't make it to stable and a different release is/was made to replace it, like this time around. Feel free to switch to the alpha or beta channel yourself so you can help the developers by reporting bugs you may come across.

The newest one is in beta right now so chances are you'll get it soon.

i have a pixle 3 as a test phone, want to see how G OS works before commiting. where is the best place to get apps from, i dont want to install Google play and also if for what ever reason i had to wipe the phone will the Graphene OS go back to ''factory'' settings or will i end up with a google OS?

The device can only go back to the stock OS by following the instructions found here: https://grapheneos.org/install/web#replacing-grapheneos-with-the-stock-os

CCz Factory resetting will clear all user data, GrapheneOS itself will not be touched.

CCz There are no 3rd gen Pixel builds available. If there were, it would be a bad way to evaluate current-day GrapheneOS due to all of the changes that have been made since 3rd gen Pixels stopped receiving updates.
