for browser and IPC

Sometimes when using for browser it sudden looks like it shut down. Then I find it under battery usage without using it over the next 12 hours. Could another app use ipc to deanonymise? Possibly sending messages through my already made tor circuit?

No. Think of IPC as a mutually agreed upon channel of communication between apps. Do you think the Tor browser has set up code to allow random apps to send random data over Tor connections? I haven't personally looked through their code, but I'd bet they haven't.

There's probably another explanation for the app showing up. Could you provide more info? Like does it say how long the app was active or in the background?

I closed the app by swiping up before 8 pm and verified it was no longer in the tray. the battery usage is separated into chunks of two hours and it was included in each of those chunks until 8 am. It was most of the battery drain %75 or so. I was wondering if chrome could open a link if sent through IPC if tor could as well. For now I've put tor into its own profile but if not an IPC issue it would be good to figure out why its draining battery.

To be sure that an app has fully stopped working make sure you press "force stop" in its settings page. Other wise the app can keep running in background.

This usually should not be the case for browsers, but in this case it seems it was running. This might be because of a particular page you were on.

Its possible the app crashed but didnt fully terminate, and was stuck in a javascript loop, draining battery. Its hard to say.
