Pixel 8 - Install Failed

Hi Everyone,

I really hope someone out there can help!

I just purchased a brand new Pixel 8 and went through the web installer instructions. Everything went smooth up until during the flashing process. The installation process froze at "vendor" something or other. I waited for about 30mins before disconnecting my phone.

Now the phone boots to a screen that says “Your device is corrupt. It can’t be trusted and may not work properly.”. After that screen I get the orange triangle screen. Finally it then goes to a black screen with the Google logo and freezes.

The phone is no longer recognized by the web installer. If anyone can help, that would be much appreciated. I'm kinda freaking out that I just bricked a brand new Pixel 8.

Good day. Don't worry, your phone is fine. Start over by heading back into fastbootd, the bootloader interface. Reboot the phone, while it's starting hold volume down. Make sure you use the usb-c to usb-c cable that came included in the box and try a different port, you are having a connection problem. The rear ones are often more reliable.

Hi newbie here
Just got my Pixel 8 Pro and noticed on my PC that I have 2 USB C ports.
One has the SS 10 (I'm not exactly sure it's 10) and the one on the other side of my PC has the
same SS10 symbol, but there is what looks like a capital D. It's an Asus AMD Ryzen 9 5900HS with Radeon Graphics 3.30 GHz
I haven't had the PC very long. Thanx
