de0u afenigma Can you confirm that you are running build 2024102400 or later? I ask because the release notes include: fix ancient Android bug causing widgets to disappear from the user's home screen when the user stops, which was a major usability issue for secondary users Your description sounds related but plausibly not the same problem. If you are running that release or a later one, it seems like it might make sense to submit an issue (including exact steps so that a tester can reproduce the problem).
afenigma Hi ! I am indeed on a newer version (2024103100). I don't know how related these issues are since in my case widgets are not impacted at all. I just tried creating a vanadium widget and even it was not removed when the PWAs and shortcuts were. I will submit an issue, you are right. Do you think I should put it in the GOS repo or in the Vanadium one?
DeletedUser370 afenigma I can reproduce the issue when adding the Etherfields app as you linked. The issue occurs even when the web app is added from Brave. But, there is already an open issue which appears to be the same: https://github.com/GrapheneOS/os-issue-tracker/issues/3677 I imagine that adding clear steps to reproduce to that issue would be helpful.
afenigma Thanks @DeletedUser370 I added my report to the issue you mentioned. Hopefuly being able to reproduce will allow the devs to find whats causes the bug
other8026 One of the developers pointed out that the fix was only for widgets in this issue: https://github.com/GrapheneOS/os-issue-tracker/issues/4222. Though the developer who fixed the widgets issue was trying to reproduce the issue, so maybe they'll look into fixing the issue with PWAs disappearing too.
missing-root Not sure if this is the correct thread, but this is still happening. Had lots of Vanadium PWAs (both links and real PWAs), all gone after a restart, 2 times. Using latest alpha build of A16 QPR2 with the default launcher
