Is Pixel 6 still good?

Hi,

My SO needs a new phone (currently using OnePlus 5T, amazing performance but battery draining really fast and other age issues) and the only affordable Phone for us right now is the Pixel 6.

I myself use Pixel 5 and the performance and battery drain is horrible currently...

The most important thing is battery but I have seen a lot of negative reports about this in particular with Pixel 6.

How is your experience and would you recommend it?

Renovate1025 The battery is not that great. My GF is a smartphone power user and she gave her 6 to her son b/c the battery was not up to snuff and went back to a Moto. Now, I am a moderate smartphone user at best as I prefer the screen size and keyboard of a laptop, work out of my house with own biz, so have easy access to a secure laptop. Calls and texts on my 6 and 6a over Signal and Cheo and checking/sending some emails don't do much to the 6/6a battery. Heavy web use and gaming will. On a positive side, you can get the 6 cheap these days as you mentioned and it still has 2 years/11 months of security updates coming. Also, posts here do not indicate the 7 or 8 have really addressed the battery issue. Otherwise, great phone and obviously supports GOS. So, depends on whether there is time to charge mid to later in the day. The 6 does Qi wireless charging, but a USB C allows you to use the phone while charging.

I had a P6 since it came out, now gave it to a family member and got myself a P8.
The P6 has average battery I think. It was quite a performance upgrade switching from the P4 to the P6.
I think it's a great choice if you don't need super long battery life. It was also the first of the Pixels with 5+ years of support. If you can get it for cheap, I think it's great value.
