Caller location and know when someone calls when I am busy.

Hello!
I have two questions:
1) I got a call from an unknown number, and below the number I could see the city and state (location) of the caller.
1.a) How is that possible? Does my device asks for it from some database on the internet? (privacy issue?)
1.b) Is that the current location of the caller or the location where the number is registered?

2) When I am on a call with someone, and during that time when someone else calls me, I don't get any beep or notified about it, and they are not even showed in my call history. So I have no way of knowing if someone called me when I was talking to somebody else. How can I change that?

Going to assume it's recognizing the general location based off of the area code of the number.

1.b Probably not current location, but where it is registered (area code).

No direct answer but in the past happened to me the same, that time no GrapheneOS , not even Android user but iPhone.
In coming call, on screen something like "unknown number Africa" what I didn't take. Total maybe 2/3 spread in time. After no more happens, not GrapheneOS related.

I'm waiting an answer since 7 months : How the Phone app is able to handle from which city a call is coming ?
Unfortunately the devs prefer chat apps than this GOS forum. You could go in Discord if you want to give it a try.

Hat Thanks for the suggestion. I will never use discord. I wrote on matrix group, got ignored. I don't think most people know the answer. I think it's some aosp functionality...
